The world's only definitive weekly dance music reviews
L.J. Kruzer 'Manhood And Electronics'
(Uncharted Audio)
Now there's a title for the purile brain! I'll start again…here London-based producer Stephen Fiske has produced an intoxicating, emotional set of electronic reflections built on his poignant piano melodies while setting up electronic pulses and washes to take care of the rhythm side of things. It follows 2005's album debut This Is How I Write and several years of solid live work which has obviously absorbed into his creative juice sacs. He says the 'Manhood' refers to his trusty piano and the acoustic instruments while the electronics speak for themselves. Whatever, the manhood has mated brilliantly with the circuits to produce a mood music masterwork.
